DeRossett is the founder and driving force behind John DeRossett Media, a purpose-driven content company producing original video series, independently published books, and mission-focused outreach. With a background in journalism, a degree in business, and more than 30 years of experience as a writer and editor, John brings a powerful blend of storytelling, insight, and real-world grit to every project he leads. A U.S. Navy veteran, John served during peacetime and was stationed in Virginia Beach, where he worked closely with Marines. He completed two deployments — one to the Mediterranean Sea and another to the North Atlantic Ocean — serving temporary duty aboard the USS Saipan as part of the ACU-2 MARG deployment. He also worked as chief engineer aboard the Commodore’s gig under Captain Roy Cash, nephew of the legendary Johnny Cash. These military experiences, along with personal hardships and a lifelong sense of duty, continue to shape the values behind his work. John is the author of several books and the creator of multiple video series, including Unmasked Criminals (true crime), The Integrity Report (political truth and accountability), and Beyond This Life (spiritual exploration and reincarnation). But for John, media is just the beginning. He uses his platform to support causes close to his heart — including the American Cancer Society, the Gary Sinise Foundation, and Heavenly Chapel Ministry, a faith-based outreach he founded to serve the homeless, shut-ins, and victims of disaster. Whether he’s writing, producing, or ministering, John’s work is always grounded in one thing: truth with purpose.
